Privacy Policy

Kacchi Biryani ("the site", available at www.kacchibiryani.com) is operated by Shirajul Islam Shakur. This page explains what information the site collects and what happens to it. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and we never sell it.

What we collect

Newsletter subscription

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address. Subscription uses double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email, and your address is only marked active after you confirm. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes your address from the active list.

Recipe ratings

Recipe ratings are anonymous. When you rate a recipe we store the star value — no account, name, or email is attached to it.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations. These are governed by Vercel's privacy policy.

Cookies

The public site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Authentication cookies are used only in the admin area, which is not accessible to visitors. We do not run third-party ad networks.

Where your data lives

Subscriber emails and content data are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database; uploaded images are stored with Supabase. Both providers process data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you (in practice: your newsletter email). Email siirajulisllam@gmail.com and we will action it within a few days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes affecting subscribers will be announced by email.
